I am a little over 3 years in on a 5 year contract. First thing to consider, why obligate for 5 years when there are other well known companies that do 3 year contracts. Their technicians are contracted, meaning they are not trained specifically by Supreme. The work of their technicians is poor at best. The day our system was installed, the tech needed to run the power cord through the wall to the garage (other side of the wall from the keypad) and in the process cut through a power line. we had no electricity for an entire day as we waited for the electrician to come fix it. Since day 1, we often get a fault on a sliding door. They have been out numerous times to fix it but the issue remains. Everytime a fault occurs they have a generic resolution that the battery is low. This is not the case, as I have replaced the battery several times. Recently, I got estimates from 2 other companies. As each one visited my house, they made me aware that the equipment was installed backward and the motion detector was placed in an awkward location. Supreme offers a service contract that doesn't extend the life of the security contracy. My service contract has expired, so now they want to charge me to service an issue that has persisted since day one and has never been resolved. So now I am stuck paying 412/month for 1 year or $110 one time fee for a service call. Here's the kicker, a company such as ADT will charge $32 month the security contract with a lifetime service warranty on the equipment. So now I will be paying $42/month instead of what could've been $32/month. Oh and don't forget it would've been for 3 years not five. As for their customer service department which consists of one person, Shiela, she asked me if it's been an issue why haven't I called in a long time about it. I told her that I hear from hem every time there is a fault on the slider, which in some cases has been 5-10 times in one week. She claims none of those calls ever took place, and that they only call when the alarm is tripped from the fault. EHHHHH. wrong answer. Keep better logs. And your supposed to be protecting my home? Moral of the story is that everyone from the tchs to customer service cannot be trusted. Look at other companies, there are much better deals out there.
